Common questions
Clear answers before you hand over your books. Your exact scope is agreed in a written proposal.
What is included in full-cycle bookkeeping?
The core work covers regular accounting entries, bank reconciliation and standard tax filings. Payroll and annual financial statements can be included in the agreed monthly scope. The proposal lists what is included for your company and what is separately quoted.
How is the monthly fee calculated?
We look at document and transaction volume, employee count, VAT status, the complexity of your activity and the reporting you need. We ask for approximate figures first, then provide a written scope and fee. No amount on this site is a fixed price.
Can payroll and the annual report be included?
Yes. We agree the number of employees, payroll work, annual statement preparation and any special reporting requirements in the proposal.
Can you take over from another accountant during the year?
Yes. We first review the available records, opening balances, outstanding filings and access arrangements, then agree a handover plan. Any work to correct earlier periods is identified separately.
What if earlier records need correcting?
We can review and repair prior accounting. The amount of work depends on the records and periods involved, so we assess it and quote it separately before starting.
What information do you need to prepare a proposal?
Tell us what the business does and where it operates, whether it is VAT registered, roughly how many documents and employees it has, what service you need and when you want to begin. The enquiry form collects these points. Do not send confidential records at this stage.
Can you work with a newly formed company?
Yes. We can help with company formation and set up the accounting process from the start. The exact formation and ongoing bookkeeping scope are agreed separately.
Do you advise on VAT and transactions outside Latvia?
Yes. We can review VAT and cross-border tax questions once we know the countries, transaction flow and documents involved. Tax treatment depends on the facts and rules in force, so we do not give a generic answer before reviewing them.
Can the work be handled remotely?
We can discuss a remote working arrangement. We agree how documents, approvals and reports will move between us before work begins.
When will you need access to records and EDS?
Only after we agree the service and a secure access process. Never put EDS credentials or confidential documents into the enquiry form.
Can I request a one-off consultation?
Yes. You can enquire about a specific tax, accounting or management-reporting question without starting a monthly bookkeeping service. We define the question and quote the work separately.
